Nursing Excellence

Message from the Chief Nursing Officer

Nurses at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital take great pride in providing high quality, compassionate, patient- and family-centered care. Our nursing mission, to Heal • Protect • Empower • Teach, describes the invaluable work we do every day. Our vision is to be an innovative leader in nursing excellence—a place where patients choose to come and nurses want to practice.

It is incredibly rewarding working with so many exceptional colleagues. Our many achievements are the result of SVMH nurses pursuing professional development, embracing peer feedback, participating in evidence-based practice, and leading in shared governance. SVMH clinical nurses, nurse leaders, and interprofessional partners continually collaborate to improve efficiencies, expand programs, and incorporate new technology, all of which benefit our patients and families by providing exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.

The professional, compassionate care that SVMH nurses provide for our patients and community daily is unsurpassed. I am deeply appreciative of our nurses’ commitment, dedication, and contributions—and of their “PRIDE in care, every patient, every day.”

Take a moment to explore and experience SVMH’s commitment to nursing excellence and quality patient care.
