FREE Virtual Ask the Experts Presentation

According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States and throughout the world.

In this Ask the Experts presentation, interventional cardiologist Rikin Kadakia, MD, will discuss the conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels, risk factors, how to prevent these diseases and how to treat them.

Exercise Challenge

Exercise is one of our best tools towards preventing chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and heart disease. Salinas Valley Health invites you to participate in the 2024 Exercise Challenge as a part of Heart Month. Exercise Challenge is an annual, community-wide fitness challenge that encourages participants to achieve 150-minutes or more of aerobic activity each week during the month of February.

Walk With A Doc

Salinas Valley Health invites the community to Walk With A Doc. An Salinas Valley Health provider will answer people’s questions during and after the walk on the specific topic. Participants can walk between 1.5- 2 miles. Healthy snacks and health information will be provided to participants.

Go Red For Women

Celebrate National Wear Red Day® with Go Red For Women on February 2, 2024 to help fight women’s No. 1 killer—heart disease. Join the movement nationwide and learn how you can honor women by going to www.goredforwomen.org.

February Red Hat Campaign

Every baby born at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center during the month of February will go home with a hand-made red hat courtesy of our own dedicated hat making volunteers and the American Heart Association Little Hats Big Hearts campaign.
