The latest Ask the Experts presentation by Salinas Valley Health (Salinas Valley Health) offers the community an evening of information every woman should know. The Ladies’ Night Out event takes place on Thursday, October 20th at 5pm. It’s a fun and engaging presentation providing valuable information and insight into some of the biggest threats to women’s health. Free flu shots are available for people who register for this event.

“Education and preventive can help people in our community live happier, healthier lives,” says Pete Delgado, President/CEO of Salinas Valley Health. “These free events engage families in their health and wellness by providing quality time with outstanding doctors and experts who are leaders in their respective fields.”

Board certified physicians Tarun Bajaj, MD, Hong Zhao, MD, Joanna Oppenheim, MD, and Assistant Director of Cardiology Christi Kearns are presenters during the October 20th event. Dr. Tarun Bajaj is a general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Joanna Oppenheim practices family medicine and Dr. Hong Zhao specializes in hematology and oncology. Christi Kearns has 20 years of experience in cardiology and is a certified personal trainer. Suzanne Rosen, MD with Salinas Valley Health Clinics Primecare, moderates this Ask the Experts event.

“Breast cancer continues to be the most common type cancer among American women, aside from skin cancer,” says Hong Zhao, MD an oncologist and hematologist at Salinas Valley Health Clinics Cancer Care. “It is important to arm yourself with information regarding prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The information we will be providing can save lives.”

The Ask the Experts presentation on Women’s Health will take place Thursday October 20th with registration beginning at 5:00 pm. Free flu shots will be given starting at 5:00 pm and ending at 6:00 pm. The free event takes place at the Ryan Ranch Center for Advance Diagnostic Imaging, 5 Lower Ragsdale Drive in Monterey.
