About the provider

Russell Brunet, DO, knew from the time he was a child that he wanted to be a doctor – due in part to the positive experiences and great respect he had for the physicians who cared for him as he grew up. He believes in getting to know his patients so he can best understand what they are going through and better serve their medical needs.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Brunet especially enjoys delivering babies. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree in 2007 from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri and completed his residency at Truman Medical Center Lakewood (now University Health Lakewood Medical Center) in Kansas City, Missouri.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Brunet is a past member of the Medical Excellence Committee at Salinas Valley Health. He is fluent in Spanish and English, something his multicultural patients appreciate.

Dr. Brunet and his wife of many years consider themselves blessed with three great children. He serves as a volunteer physician on a national level. If you see him wearing jeans at the clinic, it’s likely because he rode his Harley-Davidson to work.
