About the provider

Born and raised just down the road in Aromas, Kelsey Capron, MD is passionate about serving our diverse community by providing a broad spectrum of patient-oriented, family-centered care. She is especially concerned with taking the time to listen to a patient’s narrative, and then working together as a team to address the care of the whole person, rather than just a diagnosis. This means accompanying and supporting a patient through all the highs and lows of their life. While one of her favorite things is delivering babies, Dr. Capron cares for all ages and all genders, providing preventive care, annual visits, basic gynecologic care, family planning, prenatal care, deliveries & C-sections, newborn and pediatric care, chronic disease management, geriatric visits, addiction medicine, inpatient hospital continuity care, and more.

After earning her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Capron completed her internship and family medicine residency training at Natividad Medical Center here in Salinas, where she also served as Chief Resident. She then went on to complete the Maternal/Perinatal Child Health fellowship in high risk prenatal care and surgical obstetrics at PCC Community Wellness Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Capron developed her medical Spanish while serving majority-Latinx populations in both Salinas and Chicago. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

In her leisure time, Dr. Capron enjoys hiking, board games, tea, singing and playing music, traveling, and spending time with family.
