Board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board
of Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Griffith earned his medical degree from Washington
University, St. Louis, Missouri. After a general surgery internship at
West Virginia University, Morgantown, he completed a general surgery residency
at Georgetown University, Washington, DC and a cardiothoracic surgery
residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He continued
his medical training in pediatric cardiac surgery at Egleston Hospital
of Emory University, Atlanta Georgia and a cardiac surgery fellowship
at the National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Griffith earned a Health Care Executive MBA from the University of
California, Irvine. Immediately prior to joining Salinas Valley Medical
Clinic, he was Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Rideout Memorial Hospital,
Marysville, California. He also serves as a clinical professor at the
University of California, Davis.
