Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System has a five-member, publicly-elected
Board of Directors.
Elected Board Members
Regina M. Gage – Zone 1
Regina Gage is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of the Salinas
Valley and former Executive Director of the Monterey County Bar Association
where she worked in the non-profit sector for almost twenty years. Gage
is the currently President of the Democratic Women of Monterey County
and a primary committee member on the Monterey County Democratic Central
Committee. She is also a member of the Steinbeck Rotary club and serves
on the Board of Directors for St. Andrews Residential Programs for Youth,
Inc. Gage received her Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from the
Monterey College of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities
and Political Science (Magna Cum Laude) from San Jose State University.
Gage grew up in Illinois, has lived on the Central Coast for nearly two
decades and lives in Prunedale.
Victor Rey – Zone 2
Victor Rey has worked over 15 years in Food Production Management, most
of that in food safety in the Salinas Valley produce industry. He has
been active in Community Service since high school and college, and before
his recent appointment in 2018, Rey previously served on the Salinas Valley
Memorial Healthcare System's Board of Directors from 2012 to 2016.
He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he received a Bachelor of Science
(Cum Laude) in Crop Science with minors in AgriBusiness and Ethnic Studies.
He graduated as Salutatorian from Alisal High School in 1998. He is a
Certified Professional of Food Safety via the National Environmental Health
Association. In 2011, he received a Masters of Business Administration
(Suma Cum Laude) from the University of Phoenix.
