The Comprehensive Cancer Program of Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System offers a variety of support groups and educational programs for cancer patients and their families. Our commitment is to anticipate and respond to the changing needs of people in the communities we serve. Breast Health Program: Learn who is at risk and the guidelines for breast cancer detection.

Gentle Movement and Meditation: "Qi Gong" Simple movement to improve energy and reduce fatigue using the Chinese system of energy. Dress comfortably, open to everyone, there is no fee to attend this program.

Healthy Living: Mind & Body: Provides support for cancer patients and those who love them. It will help you identify common problems, express feelings and develop resources for dealing with cancer.

Look Good, Feel Better: Monthly workshop to help you learn how to deal with the cosmetic side effects of cancer treatment, Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

Loss and Grief Support Group: For anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one through illness.

Mindfulness Meditation: This is a free, drop-in mindful meditation group, helps to reduce reactivity, creates peacefulness and improves our ability to make better choices. Elements of the popular Jon Kabat-Zinn program will be taught.

Men's Night: Helping men develop skills to support their wives physically and emotionally through this period of treatment and change.

New Patient & Family Cancer Support Group: For new cancer patients & families as they begin the cancer journey.

Prostate Cancer Support Group: Information and support for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or other prostate disorders.

Spanish Support Group for women: Groupo De Apoyo Del Cancer. Cada tercer Sabado del mes. Llame al 442-2994 para registrarse.

Women Cancer Support Group: Recognizing the special needs of women cancer patients, this program deals with medical, emotional and practical issues that arise.
