Cardiac Education and Support
The regional Heart Program offers a variety of education and support groups free-of-charge to patients, their families and members of the community who want to learn more about regaining and maintaining a healthy heart. Some of our current offerings include:
Heart Healthy Living/Stress Management - Individuals who have had a heart attack or other cardiac event meet to share ideas and solutions for reducing stress and improving health.
Heart Health Nutrition Classes - These classes provide practical ideas and up-to-date information on nutrition. (Evening and daytime classes are offered.)
Pacemaker and Implanted Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Classes - Education addressing frequently asked questions for people who have a pacemaker or implantable defibrillator.
HeartSaver CPR/AED - American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED Course.
Mended Hearts (Affiliated with the American Heart Association)
