Q: What is the relationship between SVMHS and the CVDC?

A: The CVDC is a Salinas Valley Memorial outpatient center located on our Ryan Ranch campus. Patients referred to the CVDC are registered as SVMHS outpatients with a follow up care maintained and directed by the referring physician.

Q: What is the relationship between the physician directors at the CVDC and referred patients?

A: Patients referred to the Center are supervised and have their studies read by physicians on staff at the Center. The referring doctor-patient relationship is maintained at all times with the CVDC physicians only providing professional interpretations and recommendations regarding care.
