What does creativity have to do with coping with illness? Turns out, quite a bit. The creative process, including art and music, can help patients and their loved ones deal openly and honestly with the physical and emotional effects of illness.
There is something about a happy face, furry coat and loving heart that brightens a day. In fact, our patients say our pet therapy program takes their minds off their worries. Run by our dedicated volunteers, the project brings well behaved, loving animals to our patient bedsides.

These volunteers visit patients throughout the hospital, providing hospitality services that include: Advance Directive Assistance, meditation techniques, light touch massage, books, games, VIP services.
Communication help is available. We never want language to be a barrier to comfort, wellness, and peace of mind. There is a Spanish language interpreter on-duty around the clock. Dual handset phones provide language assistance for more than 170 Languages. Many units have internet connectivity which allows a video language line for sign language and other forms of interpretation.

Tele-Care is a FREE service for individuals who live alone, especially if they are not well. Each morning a Service League Volunteer phones the homes of Tele-Care members. A clinical trial is a research study conducted with a cancer patient, usually to evaluate new treatments. Each trial is designed to determine better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat people with cancer.
