Wristband Identification

Your identification wristband MUST be worn at all times during your stay. An additional wristband is worn by patients with medication allergies. Please do not allow anyone to remove your wristband during your stay.

Your Health Care Team

Your physician or a representative will visit you on a regular basis to update your condition, leave orders for your care, explain test results and answer any questions. Nurses and health care workers will carry out your doctor's orders and provide you with the best care possible during their three shifts. They may visit you to take blood samples, administer medications or take vital signs. This important part of your care and recovery may seem inconvenient at times.

Smoke-free Environment

Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System is a smoke-free facility in compliance with city regulations. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the hospital or on hospital grounds. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Hospital Guidelines

Patients benefit from the loving support of friends and family members who visit, but also need quiet time to recover quickly. Visiting regulations insure that patients have adequate rest periods and allow our staff to provide the best possible care. If you have any questions about visiting hours, please ask your nurse.
