Salinas Vallley Memorial Healthcare System and Central Coast Visiting Nurse Association

As an employer, you know the health related issues of your staff are one of the most significant costs of doing business. Recent studies show that:

  • Lost productivity and absenteeism due to employee health related issues put a $225.8 billion strain on American businesses annually
  • Employees who are overweight cost employers approximately $2,500 a person every year due to absenteeism and medical care
  • For every $1 spent on worksite wellness programs, employers save up to $16

That’s why Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (SVMHS) and Central Coast Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice (CCVNA) have teamed up to bring you wellness [at] work. Our program is designed to reduce employee absenteeism, increase productivity and enhance the health and well-being of your workforce. The first and most crucial step is to gather baseline health data for individual employees and your business as a whole.

  • Biometric screenings and a Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) for each employee
  • All screenings, HRAs and related educational materials are available in English and Spanish
  • This HIPAA compliant program comes to your workplace
  • Employees receive a confidential, personalized report on the results of their biometric screenings and HRA the same day as the screening
  • Registered Nurses are onsite to discuss screening results and offer specific feedback, recommendations and education options
  • Aggregate data captured from the HRAs and biometric screenings is provided to your organization within one week following assessment of all employees
  • With this data, we can help you identify health risks common among your employees and set goals for effective intervention, education and ongoing initiatives that target desired lifestyle modifications

Please go to our Wellness Services page to see details of available screenings and services.
