90% lean ground beef½ pound
Salt½ teaspoon
Ground black pepper¼ teaspoon
Whole wheat hamburger buns2
Romaine lettuce leaves2
Small tomato, thinly sliced1
Red onion, thinly sliced¼

  2. Prepare an outdoor or indoor grill.
  3. Add salt and pepper to meat and form into 2 (approximately ½-inch thick) patties with your hands.
  4. Grill burgers for 6-8 minutes on each side, until cooked through. Warm or grill the bun if desired.
