Erica W. Chan, MD

About the provider

Dr. Erica Chan takes a team approach to patient care, giving people information on their medical condition and options so they can decide on a course of care together. Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Chan is fluent in both English and Chinese. She has long been drawn to women’s health issues as a focus of her medical career. A 2006 graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, she completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she has taken on a leadership role as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Salinas Valley Memorial. Dr. Chan and her husband, a Pathologist at Salinas Valley Health, reside in Salinas with their toddler son, two cats and a Samoyed. During her free time, she is involved with the San Francisco Samoyed dog rescue group and enjoys taking long walks with her dog and watching the 49ers.
