LIFELINE – Help is just “the push of a button” away!
LIFELINE’s mobile help button with built-in GPS and fall detection is now available for our active senior population!
LIFELINE is a community service provided by the Service League Volunteers at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. We are here to provide you with local service.
LIFELINE provides you with fast, easy access to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. LIFELINE will give you the confidence you need to continue to live safely and independently in your own home, and will provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones. You may live alone but with LIFELINE, you won’t feel alone.
Once you push your waterproof help button, you’ll be connected with a trained LIFELINE monitor who will quickly access your personal profile and get you the help you need. LIFELINE also offers a personal help button with built-in fall detection. If you fall and you are not able to push your button, the button detects your fall and automatically sends a signal to your LIFELINE communicator to get you help immediately.
For our active seniors, LIFELINE now offers a personal help button with built-in GPS and fall detection - GoSafe. Now you’ll have the freedom to leave your home and go where you want, when you want. GoSafe has two-way voice communication and six advanced location technologies designed to help find you in an emergency. Have even more flexibility by taking your GoSafe button and your LIFELINE communicator with you on vacation.
If you have eliminated your landline phone service, LIFELINE can now provide service with their wireless LIFELINE communicator. The Service League also offers the Philips medication dispenser to assist with managing daily medications. Your medications are preloaded and dispensed at the times set by your caregiver.
The Service League Volunteers started their LIFELINE Program in 1989 and provide service for all of Monterey County and portions of San Benito County. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. Financial assistance is also available for those individuals who cannot afford the monthly fee.

This is a FREE service for individuals who live alone, especially for those with various medical conditions. Each morning between the hours of 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., a Service League Volunteer phones the homes of Tele-Care members at the time requested by them. If there is no answer, a second call is made to alert someone who lives nearby (a neighbor, friend, or relative) to be sure that the Tele-Care member is all right. The Service League is pleased to provide this service to our community at no cost to you.
