American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course

As Neighbors Who Care, the Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System is committed to offering community training on life-saving measures by providing American Heart Association (AHA) courses.

The Heartsaver First Aid course is designed to teach basic first-aid procedures to anyone who might be the first to respond in the workplace or community. The course provides the basic skills to effectively assess and provide appropriate emergency care until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel.

This four (4) hour course uses video-based learning combined with supervised hands-on practice conducted in small groups.

Participants who successfully complete all course requirements will be issued an AHA Heartsaver First Aid course completion card which is valid for two (2) years.

This course does not cover Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). If you require a course on CPR and the use of an AED, please refer to the Heartsaver CPR/AED course offered separately.

COURSE FEES: First Aid ONLY: $60.00 per person.

To register please call Health Promotion at 831-759-1890 or register online at www.svmh.com/classes and select CPR/AED/First Aid. Download Flyer
