Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a beautiful work of art in the Comprehensive Cancer Center on the fifth floor. However, it is much more that. It is a lasting tribute to honor individuals who make a difference in our world. Since its establishment in 2002, the funds raised have been used to enhance the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

Throughout the ages trees, birds, butterflies and flowers have symbolized life and growth. The Tree of Life will grow as families, friends, and organizations honor, thank, and memorialize those who made a difference in our world. All funds will be used to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and loved ones at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System.

Your Message
A message may be placed on a leaf (4" x 1 1/2") on the tree for a gift of $250. The leaf will be inscribed and mounted according to your wishes. The engraved message is limited to 65 spaces. A bird may be dedicated "in honor of" or "in memory of" and a message placed on the appointed panel at the base of the mural for a gift of $1,000. The message is limited to 250 spaces. A butterfly may be dedicated "in honor of" or "in memory of" and a message placed on a garden sign for a gift of $2,500. The message is limited to 250 spaces. A flowering plant may be dedicated "in honor of" or "in memory of" and a message placed on a garden sign for a gift of $5,000. The message is limited to 250 space.
