Salinas, CA, September 9, 2013 - Cherry's Jubilee, a premiere Motorsports Festival, will celebrate its 21st anniversary September 12-15, 2013. Cherry's Jubilee is presented by the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation to benefit the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The much-anticipated annual event is fun for the whole family while "Crusin' for the Cause."
In the past twenty years, Cherry's Jubilee has raised more than two million dollars for Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. The largest number of participants and the hallmark for Cherry's Jubilee are Classic Cars. The festival however also welcomes Sports and Special Interest Cars.
The extraordinary vehicles are on the move during the festival, with events taking place at different venues to create an exciting experience for both spectators and participants. The festival hosts events on Monterey's Alvarado Street, at the Waterfront Parking lot at Fisherman's Wharf, along Cannery Row and downtown Pacific Grove. Together these locations provide world-renowned backdrops to showcase these beautiful cars.
The fun starts on Thursday, September 12 on Monterey's Wharf Waterfront for registration and the "Otis Auto Sales Nostalgia Nights" Cruise-In Party. On Friday, the Show and Shine will be on Alvarado Street and along scenic Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. Participants show off their cars, listen to the DJ and turn back the clock. Saturday morning features a Poker Run though the most scenic areas of the Monterey Peninsula. Saturday ends with an unforgettable Show & Shine along Old Cannery Row and a Cruise through Pacific Grove. Sunday wraps up the event with a pancake breakfast and awards in Downtown Pacific Grove.
The car participant fee is $95 which includes a package of events and other commemorative items. As a volunteer-run event, all proceeds will support the Level III NICU at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
