 Salinas, CA (February 15, 2013) – Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System named Kendra Howell as the Director of the Hospital Foundation. Howell had been serving as the Director of Corporate and Community Development for the Foundation, and was responsible for overseeing Children’s Miracle Network and other community outreach efforts for the past 18 years.
As Director of SVMH Hospital Foundation, Howell is responsible for assisting the Board of Governors in all aspects of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. She is also responsible for reaching out to community members and businesses to promote funding critical resources and programs that benefit the Healthcare District.
Prior to becoming an employee of Salinas Valley Memorial, Howell worked in various positions at Disneyland including being named Disneyland Ambassador. Howell received a Masters of Public Policy from CSU Monterey Bay/Panetta Institute.
The beginning of this year also marks the induction of three new Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation Board Members. Jeff Wardwell, Richard Turner and Susan Merrill join the current Foundation Board Members in continuing to develop Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System in its mission to build a healthy community. |
