Salinas, CA March 14, 2012- Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (SVMHS) today released the list of organizations that responded as part of the affiliation process. They are:

HCA Healthcare

LHP Hospital Group

Natividad Medical Center

Platinum Equity

Vanguard Health Systems

In addition, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula submitted a proposal to acquire selected assets of SVMHS. The proposals will be available to the public on Monday, March 19^th at www.svmh.com, or for viewing at the SVMHS Human Resources Department, 515 East Romie Lane, Salinas, 7:30-4:30 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and 7:30 to noon on Tuesday and Friday. 

If the SVMHS Board of Directors votes to proceed with the affiliation project, the timeline, which is subject to change, is as follows:

• Selection of potential affiliation partners to present             March 22^nd

to special Board meeting, date to be determined

• Presentations by potential partners at special                     Date TBD      

Board /Town Hall meeting; selection of

second round partners

• Second round of affiliation process commences                   March 28^th     
• Completion of Affiliation                                                      Late Fall 2012

• Period to clarify and refine second round offers                     May 7^th to May 24^th
