Vincent DeFilippi, MD named "Top Doctor"
SALINAS, CA, August 2, 2011 U.S. News & World Report has named Vincent DeFilippi, MD, as a U.S. News Top Doctor in its Best Hospitals issue. DeFilippi is Medical Director of the Stanford Cardiac Surgery Program at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Top Doctors are nominated by other physicians who are most confident in referring their patients who need expert care. DeFilippi is one of only two full time doctors in this area to receive this ranking.

Dr. DeFilippi has performed thousands of open-heart surgeries, has extensive experience in valve repair and replacement using minimally invasive techniques and pioneered several minimally invasive cardiac surgery procedures. He is board certified in cardiothoracic and general surgery and is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University.
