At about 3:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 28th, emergency personnel at Salinas Valley Memorial were notified that a mass casualty incident would bring patients to the facility. A tour bus accident near Soledad turned fatal for some on board, and others needed medical treatment. Three patients were transported to Salinas Valley Memorial, where one of them later died. Another went into surgery, and the third was admitted for care.
