Salinas, CA, October 21, 2013 – Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (SVMHS) welcomes Tarun Bajaj, MD as the newest member of the medical staff at Salinas Valley Memorial and Salinas Valley Medical Clinic. He recently completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Texas Endosurgery Institute, San Antonio. Prior to that, he was chief resident in general surgery at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York.

Dr. Bajaj earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine, Missouri and completed his general surgery internship and residency at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

As a Southern California native, Dr. Bajaj is pleased to return to the golden state and settle in Monterey County with his wife and son. In addition to English, Dr. Bajaj speaks Hindi, Spanish and Punjabi. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, playing soccer and basketball and spending time with his family.
